About I W Marks

I W Marks Jewelers has been committed to providing tireless and personalized service in the Houston area since 1978. A family-owned-and-operated business, I W Marks is now in its second generation, as President and CEO Bradley Marks continues his late father’s legacy of honesty, integrity and excellence in customer care. The company’s intergenerational success can be measured not only by its longstanding client relationships and its ever-expanding selection of fine timepieces and jewelry, but also by its physical expansion.

Nearly 40 years after its founding, I W Marks’ store on Bellaire Boulevard, once measuring 500 square feet, has grown to encompass more than 13,000 square feet of elegant retail space. The company underwent a 3,000-square-foot expansion and now incorporates a sleekly designed luxury watch boutique, with shop-in-shops throughout to display the collections of elite brands.

“It was important for us to modernize our space, while still keeping traditional elements that my dad [Irv Marks] put into place all those years ago,” Brad shares.

I W Marks offers a welcoming and tranquil atmosphere, allowing customers to leisurely browse the many showcases filled with watches, jewelry and luxury accessories. Among the acclaimed watch brands available are Rolex, Tudor, Zenith, Seiko, Glycine, Raymond Weil, Michele, Philip Stein, Shinola, G-Shock and more.

Complementing the timepiece selections are watch winders by Wolf Designs, fine writing instruments by Visconti, and jewelry collections by Mikimoto, Alor, Lagos, Kabana, Mattia Cielo, Kimberly McDonald, Federica Rettore, Suzanne Kalan, Rodney Rayner, Ponte Vecchio and Mary Esses. The most popular price point is between $5,000 and $10,000, while Rolex stands out as the most sought-after watch brand by I W Marks’ clientele. They also have many great gifts starting under $100, such as Visconti leather, silver gift items and IWM watches.

“We look for unique and different items that our customers would love,” explains Brad. “Exclusivity to our store is a true partnership. It’s just you and the designer/watch brand in that city.”

With a well-trained staff of 25, and a watchmaker on site, the store is a haven for watch lovers. In-store training as well as vendor-led educational sessions, weekly informational meetings and a plethora of literature keep the staff well informed and up-to-date on the fine points of particular models. Bradley underscores the importance of high-quality customer care and emphasizes that a knowledgeable staff is paramount for their success.

Beyond supporting the nuances of watch collecting, the company’s associates also serve those in need of gifts for milestone events, such as birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, wedding gifts, and certainly engagements. I W Marks is recognized throughout the greater Houston area for its bridal lines, with diamonds of all cuts, carat weight and color available. If a bride-to-be doesn’t see her ring in the showcase, the store’s talented in-house master craftsmen will design and create a one-of-a-kind piece to suit her style. This commitment to client communication extends beyond one-on-one interactions, as it is also prevalent throughout the digital space.

With a presence on prominent social media platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, the store is able to communicate quickly and efficiently with its mailing list of clients and friends.

I W Marks also provides users with an informational website that includes their history, the brands they carry and the services they offer, as well as an “education” section explaining how to choose a diamond. It also offers etiquette advice about jewelry buying for special occasions.

I W Marks hosts annual Holiday Trunk Shows beginning in late November and running through mid-December for major designer lines and some watch collections, and it also presents an annual watch fair.

But the most fulfilling occasions on the event calendar are those benefitting others. An elegant seated luncheon benefitting the Houston Grand Opera was held, as was a kickoff party in support of the Project 88 Foundation, founded by Texans football player Garrett Graham and wife Ericka. The organization provides college advisors and leadership for public schools in need.

I W Marks Jewelers underwrites the annual Holiday Shopping Card, benefitting the American Cancer Society. This philanthropy-minded company has also raised hundreds of thousands of dollars through silent auctions to support the families of children battling cancer.

Joanna and Brad Marks hosted the Friends of Periwinkle, “Making A Mark,” Sneak Peek party at the Bellaire store, welcoming guests for a night of art in support of the Periwinkle Foundation. The organization works to positively change the lives of children, young adults and families challenged by cancer and other life-threatening illnesses while cared for at Texas Children’s Hospital.

Other commitments include the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo Educational Scholarships, the Houston Humane Society and Rice University athletic scholarships.

I W Marks stands out among Houston’s landscape of fine jewelers, offering great products, excellent service, a tradition of trust and a sincere interest in the community. By adhering to these unwavering standards, it will continue to thrive in the city it calls home.

About Hamra Jewelers

Soon celebrating 30 years of successful business, Hamra Jewelers is a familiar and well-respected destination in Scottsdale’s luxury retail landscape. The store features a full range of items to suit the watch and jewelry needs of its local, national and international clientele, offering some of the best watch brands available, such as Breitling, Tudor, Rolex and Patek Philippe.

Jewelry from such sought-after brands as Jack Kelege, Charles Krypell, Jude Frances, Simon G. Tacori and Forevermark are thoughtfully displayed in Hamra’s gleaming showcases. In addition, Hamra Jewelers proudly offers its own exquisite jewelry designs. Owners Paul and Jeff Hamra say their knowledge of jewelry styles, trends and timepieces is reflected in the designs and brands they have chosen for their store.

“Building a collection as unique as ours is possible only with the talents and expertise of a knowledgeable staff and the excellent relationships and reputation we have with our designers and suppliers within the international jewelry community,” they share.

The contemporary design of the 4,000-square-foot boutique features clean lines and neutral tones, and the well-lit showcases and in-store boutiques for Rolex and Patek Philippe are fitting complements to the overall sophisticated ambience. Here, the store’s staff of fifteen have the opportunity to interface with a refined group of customers who, like friends, have become loyal and frequent visitors.

In-house training is provided to ensure that each staff member is knowledgeable about the various watch brands offered, and off-site training—as well as international brand specific education—provides an additional level of expertise. This is an important part of what Hamra Jewelers describes as its “ five-star experience,” since the majority of the store’s timepiece clientele are savvy individuals who own about five watches, with Patek Philippe and Rolex being the most popular. A highly trained on-site watchmaker is approved for a variety of watch repairs, including Rolex, Patek Philippe, Breitling and Tudor.

A strong commitment to quality, service and integrity are qualities that no doubt keep customers coming back to Hamra Jewelers. The store offers exemplary after-sales service on all purchases, including professional cleaning, polishing, repairing and the checking of gemstones to ensure that they are secure in their settings.

A full complement of additional onsite services is available, including expert ring re-sizing, gemstone replacement and jewelry plating. Hamra Jewelers’ talented designers are also on hand to incorporate precious gemstones into new or re-created pieces at a customer’s request, thereby creating one-of-a-kind custom designs.

Hamra Jewelers understands the value of creative outreach, which includes in-store events and community relationships. “We connect with our collectors and customers with a lot of personal interaction,” says Creative Director Steven McGhee. “We have a full-time salesperson with a desk at the [local] Mercedes Benz dealership, spending half his time meeting and visiting with clients. We have had a huge response to this.”

Thanks to current technology, customers are always in the know about Hamra’s latest news via Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube and the company blog. The corporate website is a dynamic opportunity to learn more about the company and its upcoming events, as well as to purchase products. Here, one can peruse the company’s timepieces and jewelry, as well as its bridal collection of engagement rings and wedding bands, in the comfort of one’s home or office.

A staple of the company’s business for many years, Hamra Jewelers’ pre-owned and vintage watch and jewelry collections are extensive. The corporate website offers details about the many pre- owned pieces available, and as another benefit to customers, an additional warranty is offered on pre-owned watches. Of course, trade-ins are welcome.

Hamra Jewelers is looking forward to a future as bright as the Scottsdale sun. With the company’s broad range of products, superior customer service and welcoming atmosphere, the store will no doubt continue to flourish and grow for generations to come, making new and lasting relationships in the process.

About Hamilton Jewelers

Established in 1912 in Trenton, New Jersey, Hamilton Jewelers began a legacy of tradition and service, and it has since evolved into one of the country’s most respected watch and jewelry institutions. Irving Siegel, a former errand boy for a similar store, purchased the rm in 1927 for $15,750 in notes payable to the former owners. With a small storefront at 122 South Broad Street, the Siegels offered residents in Trenton a great range of wares from silver dresser sets, clocks and cigarette lighters, to such finery as wedding bands, diamonds and pocket watches.

Working tirelessly throughout the Depression, Mr. Siegel’s efforts proved successful and Hamilton Jewelers soon gained the reputation as one of the country’s leading guild jewelers, with a penchant for innovative design and a passion for exemplary service. This spirit of service—to clients and community—is what unites the three generations of the Siegel family leadership reaching from Princeton, New Jersey, to Palm Beach, Florida, and all points in between.

Since its founding, Hamilton Jewelers has combined the characteristics of an international jeweler with the unique hospitality of a family business. This passion for bringing the world’s nest jewels and timepieces to regional communities was a pioneering tradition that began with Irving and was conveyed to his son, Martin, who joined the business in 1955. Today, Martin serves as the Chairman of Hamilton Jewelers, while the company is under the dynamic leadership of his son Hank, who represents the third generation of the family. Hank serves as President and CEO of the firm, as appointed in 1992, and in 2012, the company celebrated 100 years as a family-owned business.

As a purveyor of the world’s finest luxury brands, Hamilton Jewelers’ timepiece collections include Patek Philippe, Rolex, Cartier, Chanel, Breguet, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Officine Panerai, Breitling and many more. Jewelry from leading designers such as Chantecler, Ippolita, Gucci, Mikimoto, Temple St. Clair and Roberto Coin complement the store’s timepiece offerings, as does giftware, crystal, china and other collectibles.

A number of the watch brands available at Hamilton Jewelers are the result of relationships Irving Siegel formed generations ago. Hamilton Jewelers was one of the country’s first independent retailers to carry Patek Philippe. This relationship was established in 1938, and then reinforced in 1946 when Mr. Henri Stern paid Irving a personal visit shortly after establishing the Henri Stern Watch Agency as a means to distribute his timepieces to the United States market.

Today, Patek Philippe is one of Hamilton Jewelers’ most celebrated brands, and holds the distinction of being Hamilton’s longest-standing continuous relationship with a premier vendor.

Hamilton Jewelers became one of the first accounts in the country for a number of other elite brands, including Rolex in 1946, Jaeger-LeCoultre in 1954, Cartier in 1973 and Mikimoto in 1979. The company proved its forward thinking and talent for identifying product with superior style and craftsmanship, and it continues to be a leader in the industry today.

It is because of these longstanding relationships that continue to flourish today that Hamilton is able to offer its clients access to special events and limited edition pieces. In 2015, they had the honor of hosting a meet and greet event with the founder of G-Shock, Kikuo Ibe, one of only three appearances in the United States. In early 2016, their Worth Avenue store became the exclusive location in Palm Beach to view the one-of-a-kind Breguet Crazy Full Flower high jewelry watch. They also continue to partner with the top luxury watch brands during their annual Watch Fair, currently in its eighteenth year, where one can find hundreds of watches including the newest Basel collections and limited editions.

Hamilton also specializes in fine jewelry of its own design and manufacture. Employing old-world techniques with state-of-the-art equipment, master craftsmen create jewelry of exceptional design and quality. Hamilton maintains workshops domestically, and most Hamilton Collections are made in these facilities. The pride of American craftsmanship is a hallmark of Hamilton’s product offerings. A business division dedicated to emblematic and insignia jewelry serves as the Official Jeweler to the Daughters of the American Revolution, as well as many other ancestral and civic organizations. Other guest services include a bridal and gift registry, estate and jewelry buying, corporate gifts, custom jewelry design, complete timepiece and jewelry repairs, and in-house appraisals.

Today, the company’s flagship store resides in Princeton, New Jersey, across from the Ivy League university, renovated last year to include a Rolex boutique. Other Hamilton locations are in Palm Beach and Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. The Palm Beach store added a Patek Philippe boutique last year. Each location conveys a relaxed atmosphere of elegance and sophistication, and clients are welcomed as if entering the home of an old friend.

Hamilton is committed to social responsibility and works together with various industry, governmental, and trade organizations to influence and encourage safe and responsible business practices. In 2012, Hamilton was the first family-owned, independent jeweler to be certified by the Council for Responsible Jewelry Practices, an international non-profit organization representing over 60 member companies across the gold and diamond supply chain. Hamilton is one of 465 exclusive retail members internationally to be recognized by and admitted into this prestigious group. In 2016, Hank Siegal was awarded the prestigious American Gem Society Triple Zero Award, and Hamilton Jewelers won the American Business Awards in the category of Corporate Social Responsibility, evidence of the firm’s commitment to socially responsible and critical business practices.

About Haltom’s Fine Jewelers

A Texas tradition for well over 100 years, Haltom’s Fine Jewelers has been serving the Fort Worth region since 1893, bringing exquisite jewelry and time- pieces to this cultural epicenter. In 2013, Haltom’s celebrated two significant milestones, its 120th anniversary and 30 years under the leadership of entrepreneur Jack Miller. Haltom’s has experienced remarkable growth under Jack’s leadership over the last three decades; and today, the jeweler has four retail locations in Fort Worth and the neighboring Texas towns of Arlington and Grapevine. The stores share the priority of exemplary customer service, which its loyal clientele has grown to trust.

As a tribute to company founder, G. W. Haltom, cast-iron clocks are displayed outside each of Haltom’s four stores. This element of décor dates back to the early 1900s, when G. W. Haltom purchased a Howard Clock with an eight-day manual-wind movement and placed it in front of the original downtown location in Fort Worth. The precision clocks currently standing adjacent to each storefront boast atomic mechanisms that use radio waves to verify the time, acting as a salute to expert craftsmanship, artistry and accuracy.

Haltom’s four stores each measure 3,000-square-feet and feature dark wood showcases, elegant lighting, an inviting atmosphere and diligent employees. The extensive company history has been witness to various phases of expansion and renovation. Haltom’s opened an exclusive Rolex corner in its flagship location, which opened in tandem with the grand opening of the Sundance Square Plaza in Forth Worth, thoroughly enhancing the downtown shopping experience. Most recently Haltom’s welcomed another Rolex corner, this time in its Ridglea store, which opened in the summer of 2016.

A comprehensive training program ensures Haltom’s sales associates are up to date on industry news, trends, innovations and more, as each employee attends a weekly training seminar. Their knowledge of the watch industry and enthusiasm for all things horological are palpable, and customers feel con dent that a special purchase from Haltom’s Fine Jewelers will be treasured for years to come. The company’s service department offers timely expert attention to each piece that comes through its doors, and customers who avail them- selves of the assistance available at Haltom’s Fine Jewelers will not soon forget the positive experience.

“We truly believe in building our business one customer and one referral at a time,” shares Vice President Ladye Ann Miller, who celebrated 35 years at Haltom’s in 2015.

Jack adds, “The most important part of our business is our relationship with customers. Our philosophy is that since we don’t have anything anyone needs, we must make the Haltom’s experience fun, easy and desirable.”

Desirable indeed, Haltom’s selection of timepieces comprises the most prestigious Swiss houses of horology, including Patek Philippe, Rolex, Omega, Breitling, TAG Heuer and more.

The Texas jeweler remains resolutely committed to quality, expert craftsmanship and value, without being swayed by passing trends. This foundation explains why only the most respected marques can be found within Haltom’s Fine Jewelers.

“You’ll never find an offering in our store that we ourselves wouldn’t be proud to hand down to our own children and grandchildren,” Jack explains.

In addition to its exquisite selection of timepieces, Haltom’s showcases display jewelry collections by Gurhan, John Hardy, Ippolita, Konstantino, Marco Bicego, Mikimoto, Roberto Coin and Steven Lagos, as well as a full line of giftware by Baccarat, Waterford, Lalique, Nambe and more.

Haltom’s Fine Jewelers is deeply committed to enriching and supporting the community that has sustained it for so many years.

About Govberg Jewelers

A Philadelphia tradition since 1916, Govberg Jewelers is one of the nation’s most elite purveyors of luxury timepieces, authorized by the world’s most celebrated brands and admired by watch enthusiasts worldwide. Upon its centennial anniversary, ‘Govberg’ is ostensibly synonymous with ‘horology,’ but it was only in the last 35 years that the watch category was embraced.

Govberg Jewelers was founded 100 years ago by Albert Govberg. A young diamond expert, Albert worked alongside his brother and later his son Irv, as he established a legacy of tradition, trust and service in Philadelphia’s jewelry trade. At the helm of this unique operation today is Albert’s grandson Danny, whose entrance into the family business in the early 1980s marked the significant turning point in the company’s identity. Up until that point, Govberg Jewelers’ specialty was limited to jewelry. Passionate, energetic and in tune with the pulse of the global marketplace, Danny challenged his predecessors’ business models and successfully brought timepieces into the spotlight.

The company has since evolved into a highly specialized operation, recognized far beyond Philadelphia for its unrivaled selection of exclusive and limited production wristwatches, a pre-owned inventory of remarkable breadth and a knowledgeable team to guide the process of horological discovery. Working alongside two of his sons, Brian and Marc, Danny operates three elegant and inherently welcoming showrooms in Center City, Philadelphia, the neighboring town of Ardmore and most recently, Moreland Hills, Ohio. The newest boutique opened in the summer of 2015 and represents the merging of Govberg and Mann Jewelers, a decades long fixture of the Cleveland luxury community.

Custom shop-in-shops are woven into the floor plans of each location, and gleaming showcases house covetable watch collections by respected marques, including Patek Philippe, Rolex, Audemars Piguet, Cartier, Vacheron Constantin, Jaeger-LeCoultre, F.P. Journe, IWC, Breitling, Hublot, Officine Panerai and more. The atmosphere evokes a respect for luxury and craftsmanship, and the enthusiasm for all things watch-related is palpable.

It is fitting that Govberg Jewelers’ associates represent some of the most ardent watch enthusiasts in the business. Their product knowledge, professionalism and comprehension of market value render them trustworthy guides for today’s luxury watch buyer. To ensure their ongoing preparedness to address inquiries and the horological desires of a discerning clientele, the Govberg team is extensively trained.

Close relationships are maintained with brand representatives who regularly conduct training sessions to impart product news and developments. Industry and enthusiast publications are studied; websites, forums and blogs are scoured; and sales associates eagerly travel to Switzerland for in-depth factory tours and trainings.

Danny recognized years ago that selling timepieces was only one avenue to support the life of a watch collector. As such, he developed expert services including a highly active pre-owned watch initiative and a distinct watch repair business, catering to thousands of clients worldwide. He established a dedicated pre-owned buying department to purchase luxury timepieces from private collections and individual estates, including many in the form of a trade-in along- side the purchase of a new timepiece. Govberg Jewelers answers its clients’ increasing desire to purchase pre-owned timepieces with an ever-expanding and carefully curated inventory of luxury pre-owned wares for sale. These specialized segments of Govberg Jewelers are readily accessible in-store, by appointment and through Govberg’s website and the company’s innovative app, Govberg OnTime.

George Mayer directs Govberg Jewelers’ pre-owned watch department and elaborates, “There is no better way to subsidize a watch purchase – new or pre-owned – than by trading in a watch that you do not wear or no longer have an emotional attachment to. We’ve worked with many clients to freshen up their collection or change their daily watch this way, and they are always pleased with the outcome.”

Merging the traditional charm of brick-and-mortar retail and the interests of a tech-savvy luxury consumer, Danny took a unique, proactive approach when he launched Govberg OnTime. A mobile app for the watch enthusiast, Govberg OnTime unites real-time newsfeeds from industry-leading media sources with utilities to manage personal watch collections, and a streamlined interface for buying, selling and trading new and pre-owned timepieces. The second generation of Govberg OnTime was launched in late 2016, integrating proprietary secondary market pricing tools to encourage transparency and confidence in the pre-owned segment.

“By embracing the power of technology, we deliver our clients, friends and watch collectors an experience that’s fun and informative, with streamlined, practical utility and ongoing relevance – right at one’s fingertips,” Danny shared.

Committed to supporting the life of the modern watch enthusiast, Govberg Jewelers maintains a vibrant event culture, with collector-oriented and educational experiences hosted each year. From exclusive dinners with brand representatives, elite watchmakers and industry leadership to casual collector gatherings hosted in-store, enthusiast engagement is ongoing and remarkable. Among the highlights of 2016 was a celebration with the distinguished Breitling Jet Team, a summer soiree with Rolex to present the 2016 Baselworld novelties and an intimate collectors’ evening with Panerai, during which guests had the opportunity to explore and toast Italian design, Swiss technology and the culture of collecting. Creativity is always woven into Govberg’s event formula, and the company hosted its inaugural ‘F.P. Journe Bootcamp’ last fall, consisting of a two-day celebration and hands-on training with the manufacturer and enthusiasts.

Govberg Jewelers has also curated trips to Switzerland with exclusive groups of collectors, uniting the ultimate hands-on experience with education, access and much enjoyment. This tradition was initiated several years ago, and in October a passionate group of watch enthusiasts traveled to Geneva with Govberg and Patek Philippe for a behind-the-scenes experience at the company’s manufacture, museum and facilities.

The 100-year-old company exercises a philanthropic spirit year round and is proud to be one of the leading donors to several organizations, including Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, Living Beyond Breast Cancer, the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia, the Philadelphia Police Survivor’s Fund, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, the Barnes Foundation and many more.

“As a jeweler, part of our core vision for 100 years has been to help share life’s special occasions,” Danny remarked. “We sincerely hope our support and the dollars raised for so many worthy causes will lead to many more celebratory moments for Philadelphia’s families.”

Throughout generations, Govberg Jewelers has earned a global reputation for excellence among watch enthusiasts, clients seeking guidance, the industry’s most renowned watch manufacturers and the greater Philadelphia community. By regularly evaluating the evolving habits of today’s consumer and merging insight with a deep understanding of the watch industry, Govberg ensures that the experience of horological discovery will continue in a manner that is unique and personal.
