H. Moser & Cie combines two of its trademark minimalist components into one of its best-known collections to create the new red gold Streamliner Tourbillon Vantablack, which is also the first non-steel model within the award-winning Streamliner collection.

The new H. Moser & Cie. Streamliner Tourbillon Vantablack.

For this debut, the Schaffhausen-based independent watchmaker places its highly efficient, dual-hairspring automatic HMC 804 one-minute flying tourbillon caliber beneath a Vantablack dial, a design that features high-tech Vantablack, an ultra-black coating that absorbs more than 99 percent of all light.

The resulting ‘black hole’ dial beautifully contrasts with the finely wrought tourbillon at the 6 o’clock position, all framed by the Streamliner’s striking, Deco-influence cushion-shaped 5N red gold case.

H. Moser has created at least two Vantablack dials for watches in its Streamliner case. You might recall that H. Moser presented what may have been a precursor to this model with the steel-cased Streamliner Tourbillon with a Vantablack dial for the 2021 Only Watch charity auction. H. Moser also displayed a non-tourbillon iteration earlier this year at Watches and Wonders in Geneva when it displayed a one-off Streamliner ‘stealth concept’ watch.

Here H. Moser & Cie. carefully enhances a sharp black/gold contrast by fixing the dial’s red gold indexes from the back of the dial so that they appear or disappear against the Vantablack. All this is framed by a case that H. Moser finishes with vertical brushing alternating with polished lines — an effect mirrored along the fully integrated red gold bracelet. As noted, H. Moser’s automatic HMC 804 caliber powers the watch and is equipped with a double hairspring made by H. Moser & Cie.’s sister company Precision Engineering AG. This component, just one of many technical highlights found throughout H. Moser’s designs, reduces friction and improves the movement’s accuracy and isochronism. (See below for full specifications.) Price: $119,900.

Oris celebrates the summer with a colorful addition to its successful bronze-cased Diver’s Sixty-Five ‘Cotton Candy’ series, which debuted last year. With their pastel blue, green and pink dials, the 38mm confections were a tasty confection amid a challenging year.

One of the three Oris Diver’s Sixty-Five ‘Cotton Candy’ models, showing new matching Perlon strap.

This month, the independent watchmaker extends the Cotton Candy collection with matching recycled Perlon straps for each model. The textile is woven and attached to the wrist with a bronze buckle.

The new series maintains the same set of technical specifications as the earlier series, which debuted with either a bronze bracelet or a light brown leather strap.

New Porsche 911 GT3 RS owners can now complement their choice in sports cars with a matching Porsche Design 911 GT3 RS Chronograph, available only to owners of the newly debuted car.

The new Porsche Design 911 GT3 RS Chronograph.

The watch, offered with a natural titanium or blackened titanium finish, is built to echo the design of the car, with, for example, a matte black seconds disc at 9 o’clock embossed with white ‘911 GT3 RS’ lettering and a ‘BORN IN FLACHT’ imprint in the center, which references the Porsche Owners community of the same name.

More direct connections to the car can be seen on the back of the watch, where Porsche Design places a rotor with the same rim design as the lightweight magnesium forged wheel found on the 911 GT3 RS with the Weissach Package.

Buyers can choose from five colors, including Brilliant Silver, Neodyme, Black Satin, Dark Silver, Indigo Blue, and Pyro Red.

Porsche Design fits the watch  with a COSC-certified Porsche Design WERK 01.200 movement with flyback function, ideal for timing consecutive laps around the neighborhood. New here is the option to add a pulsometer scale or a minute display in place of a tachymeter on the bezel.

The buyer can also customize other exterior components, including the outer dial ring color, hand color, strap options and even add personalized engraving. Base price: $10,950.

Ralph Lauren’s ‘affordably’ priced Polo Watch line now includes three new models, each with a 3-D printed image of the brand’s signature Polo player on horseback centered in a new white lacquered dial.

The Ralph Lauren Polo Blue Bezel watch.

The white dials expand the Ralph Lauren Polo Collection of 42mm steel-cased automatic watches, which already includes models with black, green or blue dials with interchangeable leather or silk strap options.

The Ralph Lauren Polo Brown Bezel watch, pictured with optional steel bracelet.

The new series, available with blue, green or brown aluminum bezels, includes a matching Polo-branded rubber strap, enhancing the line’s sporty profile. Steel bracelets and NATO straps are also available for watches in the collection.

Inside each watch Ralph Lauren places a Swiss-made Sellita automatic movement, visible through the Polo Watch’s sapphire caseback and protected to 100 meters of water resistance. The movements are decorated with vertical Côtes de Genève stripes and circular graining, known as perlage. Price: $2,000.

MeisterSinger’s one-handed displays are perfect for summer, when time should not be rushed. The German watchmaker’s popularly priced collection offers a wide range of watches that feature one hand rotating over combined hour and minute markings around the dial – essentially echoing dials on many pre-eighteenth-century clocks.

For those who prefer the independent German watchmaker’s tranquil approach to time telling on their wrist, MeisterSinger adds two striking new models, with either a sunray metallic blue or a sunray blue-green dial, to its 43mm steel-cased Unomat collection.

One of two new Meistersinger Unomat models.

The Unomat series boasts a solid 300-meter water resistance rating and extra-strong anti-magnetic protection. As one of the brand’s fairly rare steel-bracelet models, Unomat also stands apart from the full collection thanks to the integrated design of the bracelet, which allows it to rest easily on the wrist.

To match the Unomat’s robust technical specs, Meistersinger endows the new model with bold white indices, double-digit numerals and a larger-than-usual (for this brand) date display. Even the hand is broader than many within the full MeisterSinger collection.

MeisterSinger fits a Sellita-based automatic movement, geared to a one-handed display, into the 43mm steel case and encloses it with layers of soft iron. This sleeve is supplemented by the soft iron dial, which together ensures that the movement is shielded from the ubiquitous radiation from cell phones, electrical appliances and magnetic fasteners.
