(Sponsored post) Casio’s PRO TREK Smart Outdoor Watch collection offers features outdoor enthusiasts can appreciate. And, with more color options, Casio’s latest model (PRO TREK WSD-F20AGN) provides its functions from a new forest green rubber strap.
Powered by the Wear OS by Google operating system, the collection allows adventurers to tap into low-power GPS with full-color maps with navigation even when the watch is off line. The wearer can download maps ahead of time either via a cellular connection or Wi-Fi so they are available on the watch even if no data connection is available.
This latest PRO TREK series features app partners like ViewRanger. This is a GPS app for outdoor adventurers providing route information, navigation guidance, location data and distance to next waypoint all at a glance. Skiers can use Ski Tracks, an app designed specifically for winter sports that allows the wearer to record an entire day on the slopes.
The user can also choose from a wide variety of map designs,
depending on the type of activity and purpose. By linking between the GPS function and the full-color map, the PRO-TREK wearer can see his or her current location and can also display the route of activities and record specified points while pursuing a variety of activities. The wearer can simply check the color map for current location, which is displayed for easy confirmation anytime. Furthermore, the wearer can create footprints of his or her actions, can record markers on the map or can use voice input to make notes.
