Pennsylvania-based RGM introduced its first William Penn models (named after Pennsylvania's founder William Penn) in 1999 and 2000. (One of these watches was seen on the cover of a 2000 issue of iW, then known as International Wristwatch).
The William Penn 40mm by 28mm rectangular-cased watches, made by RGM founder Roland Murphy using upgraded Jaquet manual-wind movements, were available at the time with either a small-seconds, a date or with a moonphase.
RGM says it has created ten new moonphase William Penn watches with updated, solid-silver guilloché dials. See the new William Penn models here or call RGM at 717-653-9799. Prices: $7,900 (steel) and $12,900 (rose gold).
