Casio’s Newest Edifice is Brighter and Thinner

(Sponsored post) Casio at Baselworld 2018 debuted its newest smartphone-linked steel chronograph, the Edifice EQB900DB-2A. Connected to the Internet using Casio’s Smartphone Link, the new timepiece will automatically pair with the wearer’s smartphone after he or she presses a dedicated Bluetooth connection button.

This new addition to the Casio Edifice metal lineup features the multi-function chronograph timekeeping for which Casio is known, but adds two new features. The first new feature is a high-brightness LED light source between 6 o’clock and 7 o’clock, which brightly illuminates the face for easy reading both night and day.

The second feature is a compact case that is also lighter–the smallest among all Edifice smartphone link models. The cases of these models are 2.3 mm smaller in diameter, 2.1 mm thinner, and approximately 25% lighter than the EQB500D, which was the first Edifice smartphone link model.

But don’t let the slimmer size fool you. The EQB900DB-2A delivers the same accuracy, multi-functionality and simple operation as all Edifice models.

Casio’s own Accurate Time System automatically connects to the Internet via a smartphone four times a day to acquire timekeeping information and keep watch time settings accurate.

Much of the timekeeping functionality occurs without any need to press buttons. Summertime settings are updated automatically, and the app eliminates the need for the wearer to manually configure World Time Settings. At the same time, the app increases the number of selectable cities to 300.

On the Edifice EQB900DB-2A’s handsome blue and white dial you’ll find home time displayed on the main dial and world time on the inset dial at 6 o’clock in a 12-hour format. The AM/PM status of the selected city is also easy to read. Switching between the two city time displays can be conducted with button operation or by using the app.

And don’t forget Casio’s ever-present light power. A large-capacity Tough Solar power system enables long-term use without the need to connect a cable or replace batteries. Other features include Phone Finder, Super LED Light, one-push reset, 300-city world time, and water resistance up to 100 meters, and more.

Tough Solar powered technology.

Casio’s Edifice EQB900DB-2A will be available this April for $320 at select jewelry and watch retailers, as well as ShopCasio. For additional information on Casio’s EDIFICE collection of timepieces, please visit www.EDIFICE.Casio.com.
