To celebrate their 20th anniversary, Parmigiani Fleurier releases a unique piece, the Kalpa Hebdomadaire Anniversaire – which hides a solid gold movement within its steel case middle.
In 1997, Michael Parmigiani designed the "tonneau" shape for the company and is one of the most recognizable from the watchmaker. With its "tonneau" shape, the movement of the hand-wound Kalpa Hebdomadaire remains one of Parmigiani Fleurier's flagship calibers thanks to its design. It was created in yellow gold for this unique piece, which posed a real challenge owing to the malleability of gold. This feat of craftsmanship is embellished with a dragon-wing pattern, engraved to cover each bridge.
