As its name suggests, the H2 Tradition expresses the juncture of watchmaking heritage and modernity in its design and function. Its classic, or traditional, side is revealed by the delicate lacquered dials and blued hands—a first for HYT, as well as its diamond guilloché main plate and shaped crown.
Its nod to the future is manifested via its hydro-mechanical aesthetic: the capillary with blue fluid moving forward to mark the hours. The watch is driven by two bellows positioned either side of 6 o’clock, a system developed in 2013 and featured on the very first H2.
The dial exposes some important modifications: the balance has been re-centered to provide room for the minutes, requiring a reconfiguration of the manually wound movement. And the polished, micro-blasted and satin-finished white gold and titanium 48.8mm case has been re-designed with the crown protector removed.
The H2 Tradition, which comes on a blue alligator leather strap, is a limited edition of just 50 pieces.
The ultimate in hybrid technology unites two worlds that are supposedly diametrically opposed. The result is a mechanical wristwatch shattering all certainties and steamrollering conformity. Unveil each glorious technical aspect in detail. Discover more about HYT here.
