Armin Strom is known for their skeletonized watches and the Tourbillon Skeleton Fire is no exception to the company’s rule of flawless skeletons.
The 43.40mm sapphire crystal case is powered by the Armin Strom caliber ATC11-S Manufacture movement. The movement features a tourbillon, 10-day power reserve, small seconds and off-center time indications. It is fully skeletonized with 3D-PVD coatings on the main plate.
Visually, the watch is striking with rose gold hands, a sapphire dial ring with founded appliques and of course the fact that the watch is fully skeletonized.
After completing his watchmaking apprenticeship, brand namesake Armin Strom, gained recognition as a successful independent business owner. In 1967, Strom opened his own shop in Burgdorf. Here, he sold and restored timepieces. As his passion evolved, Strom began working on his own creations in the workroom behind his establishment. Strom’s first creation was a gold pocket watch featuring an engraved dial with a polished blue lapis lazuli. His growing popularity in the watchmaking industry allowed Strom to explore different watchmaking techniques and eventually, he settled in the specialty of skeletonizing.
