That’s not an Apple Watch, but H. Moser did very purposely place its own beautiful slow-beat, hand-wound movement into a white gold case shaped to mimic the 38mm version of the Apple Watch. Moser CEO Edouard Meylan calls it a statement about the real future of traditional watchmaking. You can pass this on to your children without having to update it, he says. Sure, it costs a bit more than the karat gold Apple Watch, but with 100 hours of power reserve, the H. Moser Swiss Alp Watch only needs charging every four days. The movement’s escapement wheel and pallet fork are gold, and the dial is pure Moser fumé. Moser will make 50 of the 38.2mm by 44mm white gold timepieces.
Harry Winston’s Premier Moon Phase 36mm features two shades of mother-of-pearl is white and blue, to create the celestial tableau on the dial, while gold cabochons and diamonds mark the time. Eighteen brilliant-cut diamonds and a gold moon embellish the centrally located moon-phase indicator, which is also home to the delicate hour and minute hands. Approximately 2.8 carats of diamonds light up this rose gold timepiece, which is driven by a quartz movement, HW5201. The Premier Moon Phase 36mm comes on a white alligator leather strap with a diamond-set buckle.

The Ladybird, an emblematic model in Blancpain’s ladies collection, was considered the smallest round watch at the time of its launch in 1956. And for St. Valentine’s Day this year, Blancpain has created a version with a mother-of-pearl dial adorned with brilliant-cut diamonds at 3, 6, 9 and 12 o’clock and a mother-of-pearl marquetry heart embellished with diamonds and rubies. The bezel of the 21.5mm white gold case is set with an additional 0.5 carats of diamonds, while inside beats the 15.7mm self-winding 6150 movement equipped with a silicon balance spring. A white gold heart-shaped ruby charm ramps up the love.
