John and Stephen McGonigle launched McGonigle Watches at Baselworld in 2007 as candidate members of the ACHI. Before deciding to work together, both watchmakers studied at the Irish Swiss Institute of Horology and between them have worked for Audemars Piguet, Christophe Claret, Franck Muller and Breguet. McGonigle Watches’ first creation was a manually wound tourbillon available in platinum and gold, and was critically acclaimed for its design, function and high standard of workmanship and finish. Each watch is produced to the client’s specifications and in essence is bespoke.
