Unveiled at BaselWorld 2013, the Eco-Drive Satellite Wave – Air features a more advanced satellite timekeeping system offering higher reception sensitivity than was available on previous Citizen watches. The Eco-Drive Satellite Wave – Air is the world’s first light powered watch with a full-metal case made of Citizen’s proprietary titanium metal that is used to receive time signals from navigation satellites. The speed to correct is the time is the fastest among all satellite-synchronized watches. Eco-drive watches from Citizen use a technically advanced power storage system in which a solar conversion panel and energy cell power the quartz movement. The ability to use light from any source means the supply of energy is limitless and free, and contains no power-generating machinery that would require additional upkeep. The titanium case measures 49.5mm and is water resistant to 20 Bar. This watch is part of Citizen’s Promaster collection, dedicated to the spirit of challenge and exploration of the unknown.
