Rodolphe Cattin and Thomas Meyer have brought together contemporary talents from the watch world sharing a spirit and manufactory vision of the future. Manufacture Rodolphe Cattin (MRC) unites the most skilled craftsmen, revives time-honored expertise using today’s most advanced technologies, and enhances the skills of the art of watchmaking in all their richness and diversity to reveal the mastery and creative genius of La Chaux-de-Fonds to the world.
In the early 20th century, La-Chaux-de-Fonds was exporting over half of Switzerland’s watch output. It was also home to every watch manufacturing activity: case-making factories rubbed shoulders with workshops producing hands, gear-trains, dials and movements. This watchmaking town of yesteryear clearly deserved its reputation as the “Manufacture”. It is to this manufactory spirit of the early 1900s and in honor of its horological past, which is still very much alive today that Manufacture Rodolphe Cattin wishes to pay tribute and to aspire.
For ladies, the Adore and Utopia collections combine glamour, mother-of-pearl and diamonds with finesse and simple eloquence. Small diamond-studded balls replacing the traditional horns create a sublimely feminine touch. For men, the phenomenal Witness, the unique Vision one and the truly astonishing Tempovision collections feature a wealth of movements in a resolutely masculine case: a dual time-zone function, a mono-pusher chronograph and several extraordinary tourbillons.
Totally Worth It is the perfect vector to represent our brand in North America and the Caribbean. Aside from being a long time friend, Alexis has spent years to create a first rate firm with high standards for quality and service in a very demanding continent”, says Thomas Meyer, co-founder and CEO of MRC. “We adhere to his principles and look forward to growing together with him” adds Rodolphe, the famous designer and co-founder of the firm.
The concept of Totally Worth It (TWI) is to gather, under one roof, the best brands that will ignite passion and reaction from both retailers and consumers as well as the press. Alexis Sarkissian, founder of TWI, is a Swiss-American from Geneva. He has been involved in the international watchmaking scene for more than two decades. “We are distributing successfully men’s watches and accessories forever and have dreamt of finding a brand that offers ladies watches as attractive, wearable and with such value as MRC” says Alexis.
