Last night was an evening for inspiration, great company and watches. Swiss watchmaker JEANRICHARD launched its partnership with heroic icon in aviation Captain Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger at the Standard Hotel in New York City. Guests joined Bruno Grande, COO of JEANRICHARD, in celebratory cocktails in  Le Bain followed by an exclusive dinner at the hotel’s High Line Room.

JEANRICHARD’s partnership with Captain Sully is founded on the authentic synergy between the brand’s core philosophy and dedication to those driven to do extraordinary things. While on one hand people will say that time is money, JEANRICHARD says that time is the art of living, a philosophy of life.

“Sully is not only an individual with profoundly admirable qualities under pressure, as we saw in 2009 with his emergency landing on the Hudson”, said Bruno Grande, COO of JEANRICHARD. “He is also one who has taken and channeled it towards the improvement and encouragement of aviation safety and knowledge of this art. We are very proud to have him as a part of the JEANRICHARD family and look forward to continued success together.”

“JEANRICHARD’s Philosophy of Life truly speaks to me”, said Sully. “The beauty of the watches, the passions of its artisans and managers, and even more importantly their idea of working together on projects that are close to my heart and spirit made me happy to join the JEANRICHARD flight.”

Throughout the evening, guests including Olympic Silver Medalist Tim Morehouse and Evander Holyfield Jr.  admired the new 1681 and Terrascope collections.

The 1681 Collection brings forth extraordinary mechanicals; Hours advance at the rhythm of an automatic movement, from the famous JR1000, developed by JEANRICHARD in 2004 after 4 years of research and development. The pieces are 111/2’’’ in diameter and 3.77 mm thick, providing excellent chronometric performance and perfect operational stability, with or without additional modules.

On the other hand, the Terrascope Collection offers a handsome 44mm diameter cushion-shaped case reinforced by two lateral arms, proving that pleasing design is not delivered without utility measured for adventure. At the same time, the Terrascope’s self-winding JR60 movement provides the accuracy required of a watch that will accompany your day-to-day life. Reaffirming the symbol of a philosophy that a life is to be relished every day with undiminished eagerness.
