Panerai Classic Yachts Challenge Wraps up Weekend in Marblehead

Spartan and Black Watch at the finish of the Corinthian Classic Yacht Regatta, race one.

On Aug. 13,  Officine Panerai kicked off the North American Circuit of the Panerai Classic Yachts Challenge in Marblehead, MA.

Captains and Crews were treated to dinner and a presentation by naval architect Halsey Herreshoff, grandson of the Nathanael Greene Hereshoff.

Nathanael Greene Hereshoff was known for producing a succession of America’s Cup defenders – the design of which was held under tight secrecy.

Winers of the North American Circuit of the Panerai Classic Yacht Challenge include Morning Star   which won the award for traveling the farthest, from Bainbridge, WA and Valiant, winning first place in the Classics Division,

Other Winners include Rival, a Taylor 38 won First-to-Finish and the Spirit of Tradition trophy, Solstice, a Bristol 35.5 took away the Classic GRP trophy and Sagacious took first for the International One Design (IOD).
