From June 15-17, Corum lent its name to the world’s largest regatta on an inland lake, the Bol d’Or Mirabaud, for the third consecutive year. Around 469 vessels took part in the 74th edition of this legendary regatta held on Lake Geneva. First place went to the young crew of the Regatta Training Centre of the City of Geneva (CER) aboard the Décision 35 Realstone Sailing, which crossed the line after 10 hours and 52 minutes. Among the monohulls, the Libera Raffica (29th place in the general ranking) won the Bol de Vermeil. In the Surprise category, the main category represented at the start of the race with 115 boats, the winner was Velasco-Uship-Port de Sciez (77th place). The Okalys-Corum team, supported by the La Chaux-de-Fonds firm, completed the Geneva – Le Bouveret – Geneva round trip in 12 hours, 8 minutes and 59 seconds.
Specially designed for the event, the Admiral’s Cup 44 Chrono Centro Bol d’Or Mirabaud has a center chronograph function. This model’s sportiness is reflected in the velvety mat appearance of its 44 mm vulcanized rubber case. Contrasting with the extreme black design of the characteristic twelve-sided Corum case, the color blue – matching the livery of the regatta – reveals the watch’s sea-faring identity; the seconds-hand and the end of the chronograph minute-hand, the small-seconds timer, the Limited Edition logo and also the minute-circle surrounding an imposing dial. This limited edition of thirty pieces features the CO960 COSC-certified self-winding mechanical movement.
