On Wednesday, June 27th, Gucci Timepieces served as the Official Timekeeper of the 5th Annual Steve Nash Foundation Showdown, an 8-a-side charity soccer match featuring NBA and professional soccer players to support the Steve Nash Foundation. The event took place at the Sara D. Roosevelt Park in New York City’s Lower East Side.
To honor the Steve Nash Foundation’s commitment to providing critical resources to underserved children, Gucci Timepieces Managing Director Michael Benavente presented Steve Nash (two-time NBA Most Valuable Player), team captain, Thierry Henry (striker for New York Red Bulls), and game MVP, Salomon Kalou (Champion League’s winner with Chelsea), with the new I-Gucci Sport watch.
Recognizable by a striking perforated rubber strap in black, orange and cobalt blue, the I-Gucci Sport boasts a range of technical components including a chronograph and dual chronograph, countdown timer, tachymeter, pedometer and a sailing function specifically designed for timing regattas.
