RM30
Richard Mille’s haut de gamme timepieces have long been billed as racing machines for the wrist. The firm’s inspiration is the world of Formula 1, where an extreme strength-to-weight ratio is critical to success. The lightweight RM30 in titanium features a declutchable rotor to wind its mainspring. When the watch is wound to 50 hours of reserve, the rotor is “declutched,” and when the power reserve goes down to 40, it is reclutched, allowing winding to occur once again. Price $85,000
